Serial Entrepreneur, wife, mother, and former corporate professional, Leticia Ricks is CEO of Luxotic Retreats, who built Luxotic Retreats on the side of your desk during her "9 to 5", while leading Global Recruiting Events and Program Management for Amazon Corporate and Meta. ​
With over 15+ years of experience leading leisure group travel and corporate event planning, Ricks formed Luxotic Retreats to be at the intersection of professional development and luxury global travel. Leticia has anchored travel experiences in dozens of countries around the world with the goal of giving people "MORE" that what they traveled with, and ensuring guests returned from their retreat filled, transformed and rejuvenated. Luxotic was created to be the first retreat company to assist high-figure earning travelers with opportunities to connect, celebrate personal and/or professional milestones, while recharging in the most luxurious and exotic places in the world.

Ricks is passionate about all of the elements which keep her balanced. Her first venture, Futuricks Enterprises has been in operation for almost 15 years. Futuricks Enterprises is the umbrella company for Futuricks Faces, (offering Traveling Paint parties, face Painting, make-up, henna and body art), Futuricks Technologies (one of the world's first hoverboard retailer) and Futuricks Fitness (as a certified Zumba Instructor and spin instructor). Leticia is a devout follower of Christ and is a faithful missionary with the First District Women's Missionary Society of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. ​

My mission as a travel entrepreneur is educating others so they may have successful travel lives no matter what their background is by helping them erase limiting beliefs and stereotypes. I believe the best way to learn about a place or community is to immerse yourself in the culture and not to just go off hearsay. I want every person I meet to become more comfortable with traveling or at least learn something new about the tourism or aviation industry after meeting me.

Howard University graduate, producer and journalist, Ashley McDonough is the Founder of Melanin On The Map, the FIRST travel app dedicated to minority travelers. Growing up first-generation American with parents of Caribbean descent, McDonough always had a love for culture and travel and knew a career in those fields would one day be in her future. Having traveled to over 20 countries before the age of 25, McDonough couldn’t help but notice the few faces of color she encountered on her monthly excursions and decided to do something about it.
Launching Melanin On The Map, a safe space for travelers of color to learn, engage, create affordable travel opportunities and turn their travel passion into a paycheck, McDonough aims to change the face of minority travel, showing everyday people a brand new way to experience the world of travel.

AIRFARE INFORMATION: For packages which include airfare, these packages include Round Trip Airfare departing on April 9, 2023, from JFK airport, for guests to arrive in Dubai on April 10, 2023. For packages that do not include airfare, attendees are responsible for booking their flight to Dubai, separate from this process. Please note all airfare accommodations booked separately to and from Dubai must be booked to arrive on April 10, 2023 and depart on April 14, 2023, that we may arrange your transportation to and from the resort.
